    7月11日，英國(guó)能源與氣候變化部負(fù)責(zé)能源事務(wù)的國(guó)務(wù)大臣安德烈婭·利德索姆宣布退出與內(nèi)政大臣特雷莎·梅的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)，特雷莎·梅將接替卡梅倫出任保守黨新黨魁和英國(guó)新首相，英國(guó)將迎來(lái)其歷史上第二位女首相。安德烈婭·利德索姆和特雷莎·梅是7月7日舉行的第二輪黨內(nèi)議員投票中的勝出者，也是該黨領(lǐng)袖競(jìng)選中僅剩的兩名競(jìng)選人。
